CHAMJE KHOLA

(2011) – EXTREME CANYONING IN NEPAL (52MN)

The story of the opening of one of the largest canyons in the world. The Chamjé Canyon is located in the heart of the Nepalese Himalayas, between the Annapurna (8,091m) and Manaslu (8,163m) mountain ranges. The Himalayan Canyon Team, a French association, has been opening dozens of canyons in the area since 2004, but it wasn't until 2011 that they were ready to face the monster that is Chamjé Khola. Its exploration required five days of intense effort, with a precarious and snowy high-altitude access, covering a total canyon length of 7km and a vertical drop of 2,300m! Led by Rodolphe Sturm with expert precision, the film allows us to witness how the team prepared themselves, tackled serious challenges they encountered, and how the synergy among these strong personalities gave rise to an unwavering collective energy!

The longest and most challenging canyon trip ever undertaken to date
